Installation & Setup

  1. Remove protective packaging and oil from all metal surfaces.
  2. Attach foot pedal: Connect pedal cord to machine's pedal jack.

  4. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back, tighten screw.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow threading sequence.

  1. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered guides from spool to needle.

CAUTION! Keep fingers away from moving needle. Always turn off when threading.

Threading the Machine

  1. Place thread spool on spool pin.
  2. Pull thread through first thread guide.
  3. Pass thread through tension discs.
  4. Thread take-up lever from right to left.
  5. Pass through remaining thread guides.
  6. Thread needle from front to back.
  7. Pull 4-6 inches of thread behind presser foot.

Tip: Always raise presser foot when threading to open tension discs.

Basic Sewing Operations

  1. Position fabric: Place fabric under presser foot, lower presser foot.
  2. Start sewing: Gently press foot pedal to begin stitching.
  3. Guide fabric: Use hands to guide fabric, don't pull or push.
  4. Reverse stitch: Hold reverse lever at beginning and end of seams.
  5. Finish sewing: Raise needle to highest position, raise presser foot, remove fabric.
  6. Cut threads: Use thread cutter or scissors to trim threads.

WARNING! Never sew over pins. Remove pins before they reach presser foot.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Daily: Brush out lint from bobbin area and feed dogs.
  2. Weekly: Oil moving parts with sewing machine oil.
  3. Monthly: Clean tension discs with soft cloth.
  4. As needed: Replace needle after 8-10 hours of sewing.

CAUTION! Unplug machine before cleaning or maintenance. Use only sewing machine oil.
