Machine Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place on stable surface at comfortable height.

  1. Remove machine from packaging and protective materials
  2. Attach power cord to machine and plug into wall outlet
  3. Install foot pedal and position for comfortable access
  4. Install needle following threading diagram direction
  5. Wind and install bobbin in drop-in bobbin case
  6. Thread upper thread following numbered guides

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always unplug when not in use.

Basic Operation

Power on machine; test stitch on scrap fabric first.

  1. Position fabric under presser foot, lower foot lever
  2. Hold thread tails to back for first few stitches
  3. Press foot pedal gently to start sewing
  4. Use reverse stitch at beginning and end to secure
  5. Guide fabric gently, don't push or pull
  6. Raise presser foot to remove fabric when finished

CAUTION! Always turn handwheel toward you only. Never force the machine.

Main controls located on right side of machine body.

Stitch Length Dial: Turn clockwise for longer stitches, counter-clockwise for shorter. Reverse Stitch Lever: Press and hold for reverse stitching. Thread Tension Dial: Higher numbers for tighter tension (4-5 for medium weight fabrics). Presser Foot Lever: Raises and lowers presser foot. Handwheel: Manual control, turn toward you only.

Threading Instructions

Follow numbered guides from spool to needle.

  1. Place thread spool on spindle
  2. Pull thread through first thread guide
  3. Pass thread between tension discs
  4. Thread take-up lever from right to left
  5. Pass through remaining thread guides
  6. Thread needle from front to back
  7. Pull 4-6 inches of thread under presser foot

Tip: Always raise presser foot when threading to open tension discs.

Stitch Adjustment

Proper settings for different fabric types.

  1. Lightweight fabrics (silk, chiffon): Stitch length 1.5-2mm, tension 3-4
  2. Medium fabrics (cotton, linen): Stitch length 2.5-3mm, tension 4-5
  3. Heavy fabrics (denim, canvas): Stitch length 3-4mm, tension 5-6
  4. Stretch fabrics: Use ballpoint needle, slightly longer stitches
  5. Test stitches on fabric scrap before starting project

WARNING! Always use correct needle type for fabric. Change needle every 8 hours of sewing.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Clean lint from bobbin area after each project
  2. Oil moving parts every 3 months with sewing machine oil
  3. Wipe exterior with soft, dry cloth
  4. Check needle for burrs or damage regularly
  5. Store in dry area covered when not in use

CAUTION! Unplug machine before cleaning or maintenance. Use only sewing machine oil.
