Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place machine on stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove packaging materials and protective covers from machine.
  2. Attach power cord to machine and plug into grounded electrical outlet.
  3. Install foot pedal and position for comfortable access.
  4. Attach standard presser foot following threading diagram.
  5. Wind and insert bobbin into bobbin case.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always turn off power when threading or changing accessories.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow threading and bobbin installation procedures.

  1. Thread upper thread following numbered path on machine.
  2. Use built-in needle threader for easy needle threading.
  3. Insert wound bobbin into drop-in bobbin system.
  4. Select straight stitch pattern for initial testing.
  5. Place fabric under presser foot and lower foot lever.
  6. Press foot pedal gently to begin sewing.

CAUTION! Always use correct needle size for fabric type. Test stitches on scrap fabric first.

Stitch Selection: Turn dial to select desired stitch pattern. Stitch Length: Adjust for shorter or longer stitches. Stitch Width: Adjust for narrow or wide zigzag stitches. Reverse Stitch: Hold button to sew in reverse. Thread Tension: Adjust for balanced stitches (4 is normal setting).

Threading the Machine

Proper threading is essential for good stitch quality.

  1. Raise presser foot and raise needle to highest position.
  2. Place spool on spool pin and secure with cap.
  3. Follow numbered threading path from spool to needle.
  4. Use built-in needle threader: Push lever down and hook thread through needle eye.
  5. For bobbin: Wind bobbin using bobbin winding system, then drop into bobbin case.
  6. Pull bobbin thread up through needle plate.

WARNING! Always thread with presser foot raised and power off.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Unplug machine before cleaning or maintenance.
  2. Remove needle plate and clean lint from bobbin area.
  3. Oil moving parts as indicated in lubrication points diagram.
  4. Wipe exterior with soft, dry cloth.
  5. Replace needle regularly (after 8-10 hours of sewing).

CAUTION! Use only sewing machine oil. Never use household oils.
