Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Remove machine from packaging: Remove all protective materials and foam.
  2. Attach foot control: Plug foot control into machine's front port.
  3. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back.
  4. Connect to power: Plug power cord into wall outlet (120V AC).
  5. Wind bobbin: Follow bobbin winding instructions in threading section.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always unplug when not in use.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow setup steps.

  1. Thread machine: Follow threading path from spool to needle.
  2. Insert bobbin: Place wound bobbin in bobbin case with thread counterclockwise.
  3. Select stitch: Turn stitch selection dial to desired stitch.
  4. Test sew: Use scrap fabric to test stitch quality and tension.
  5. Adjust tension: Use tension dial if stitches are too loose or tight.

CAUTION! Always start with needle in highest position. Use proper needle for fabric type.

Threading & Bobbin

Proper threading ensures smooth operation.

  1. Upper threading: Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Follow numbered path: From spool pin through tension discs to needle.
  3. Use needle threader: Push lever down and through needle eye.
  4. Bobbin winding: Place spool on pin, thread through bobbin winder tension.
  5. Insert bobbin: Drop bobbin into case with thread moving counterclockwise.
  6. Pull up bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you.

WARNING! Ensure machine is unplugged during threading. Keep threads clean and untangled.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Daily: Brush out lint from bobbin area and feed dogs.
  2. Weekly: Oil hook race and moving parts with sewing machine oil.
  3. Monthly: Clean tension discs with soft brush.
  4. Needle replacement: Change needle after every project or 8 hours of sewing.
  5. Storage: Cover machine when not in use to prevent dust accumulation.

CAUTION! Unplug machine before cleaning. Use only sewing machine oil.
