Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable sewing table.

  1. Remove packaging materials and protective covers from machine.
  2. Attach power cord to machine and plug into AC outlet.
  3. Install foot pedal and connect to machine.
  4. Install needle following arrow direction and tighten screw.
  5. Attach standard presser foot and lower into position.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Unplug when not in use.

First-Time Setup

Power on machine; LED light should illuminate.

  1. Thread the machine: Follow threading diagram from spool to needle.
  2. Wind bobbin: Place empty bobbin on winder and thread through tension disc.
  3. Insert bobbin: Place wound bobbin in case following arrow direction.
  4. Test stitches: Select straight stitch and sew on scrap fabric.
  5. Adjust tension: Test on fabric scrap and adjust as needed.

CAUTION! Always start with needle in highest position. Keep work area clean and organized.

Threading the Machine

Proper threading is essential for good stitch quality.

  1. Raise needle to highest position using handwheel.
  2. Place thread spool on spool pin and secure with cap.
  3. Follow threading path: Through first thread guide, around tension discs, through take-up lever, down to needle.
  4. Use automatic needle threader: Lower lever and hook thread through needle eye.
  5. Pull thread toward back under presser foot.

Tip: Always pull thread tails to back before starting to sew.

Basic Sewing Operations

Fundamental sewing techniques for beginners.

  1. Position fabric under presser foot and lower presser foot lever.
  2. Hold thread tails and gently press foot pedal to start sewing.
  3. Guide fabric gently without pulling or pushing.
  4. Use reverse stitch at beginning and end of seams.
  5. Raise presser foot and remove fabric when finished.
  6. Cut threads using built-in thread cutter.

WARNING! Never sew over pins. Keep fingers clear of moving needle.

Maintenance & Cleaning

  3. Oil moving parts with sewing machine oil as recommended.
  4. Wipe exterior with soft, dry cloth.
  5. Replace needle regularly (every 8-10 hours of sewing).
