Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Remove extension table: Slide to release free arm for sleeve and cuff sewing.
  2. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side toward back, tighten screw.
  3. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide through tension disc, wind bobbin evenly.
  4. Insert bobbin: Place bobbin in case with thread unwinding counterclockwise, pull thread through slot.
  5. Thread machine: Follow numbered threading path from spool to needle.
  6. Connect power: Plug foot control into machine, then plug into wall outlet.

WARNING! Always unplug machine when changing needles or performing maintenance.

Basic Operation

Power on machine; select desired stitch and settings.

  1. Select stitch pattern: Turn stitch selection dial to desired pattern.
  2. Adjust stitch length: Set dial for shorter stitches (fine fabrics) or longer stitches (basting).
  3. Adjust stitch width: For zigzag and decorative stitches, set width as needed.
  4. Set tension: Adjust tension dial according to fabric and thread type.
  5. Begin sewing: Place fabric under presser foot, lower foot, press foot control gently.
  6. Reverse stitching: Hold reverse lever to sew backwards for reinforcement.
  7. Automatic buttonhole: Select buttonhole stitch, position fabric, machine sews complete buttonhole.

CAUTION! Keep fingers away from moving needle during operation.
