Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface at comfortable working height.

  1. Remove machine from packaging: Lift machine by carrying handle only.
  2. Attach power cord: Plug into machine and wall outlet.
  3. Connect foot pedal: Plug into machine front port.
  4. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle flat side back, tighten screw.
  5. Wind bobbin: Follow bobbin winding instructions in threading section.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always unplug when not in use.

First-Time Setup

Prepare machine for first use with proper threading and tension settings.

  1. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered threading path on machine.
  2. Insert bobbin: Place bobbin in case with thread unwinding counterclockwise.
  3. Set stitch selection: Turn dial to straight stitch position.

Threading the Machine

Proper threading is essential for good stitch quality.

  1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Place spool on spool pin with thread unwinding toward back.
  3. Follow numbered threading path: Through first guide, around tension discs, up take-up lever, down to needle.
  4. Use automatic needle threader: Lower lever, hook thread, return lever.
  5. Wind bobbin: Place empty bobbin on winder, guide thread through bobbin winder tension, press winder to engage.
  6. Insert bobbin: Drop into case with thread unwinding counterclockwise, pull thread through slot.

Tip: Always pull both threads under presser foot and toward back before starting to sew.

Basic Sewing Operations

Fundamental sewing techniques for common projects.

  1. Straight stitching: Select stitch 1, adjust length as needed (2.5mm standard).
  2. Zigzag stitching: Select stitch 2 or 3, adjust width for desired zigzag.
  3. Reverse stitching: Hold reverse lever to reinforce seam ends.
  4. Buttonholes: Attach buttonhole foot, select buttonhole stitch, place fabric under foot, lower lever, sew automatically.
  5. Changing presser feet: Raise needle, press foot release lever, remove current foot, snap on new foot.
  6. Free arm sewing: Remove extension table for sewing sleeves and cuffs.
  7. Adjusting tension: Increase for loose stitches, decrease for tight stitches.

WARNING! Never pull fabric while sewing - let feed dogs move fabric naturally.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Brush out lint from bobbin area and feed dogs.
  2. Weekly: Oil hook race and moving parts with sewing machine oil.
  3. Monthly: Remove needle plate and clean underneath.
  4. As needed: Replace needles after 8-10 hours of sewing.

CAUTION! Always unplug machine before cleaning or maintenance. Use only sewing machine oil.
