Unpacking and Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on stable, flat surface.

1. Remove machine from packaging: Lift machine by base, not by handle.
2. Install foot controller: Connect to machine port, plug into power.
3. Attach power cord: Connect to machine and wall outlet.
4. Install accessories: Place spool pins, attach standard presser foot.
5. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side toward back.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always turn off power when threading or changing accessories.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow setup procedure.

1. Thread machine: Follow threading guide printed on machine.
2. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, wind bobbin using bobbin winder.

Controls and Settings

Stitch Selection: Turn dial to select from 25 stitches including straight, zigzag, stretch, and decorative patterns.

Stitch Length Dial: Controls stitch density (0-4mm). Use shorter stitches for finer fabrics, longer for basting.

Threading and Bobbin

Proper threading ensures smooth operation.

1. Raise needle to highest position using handwheel.
2. Place spool on spool pin with thread unwinding toward back.
3. Follow numbered threading path: Through thread guides, tension discs, take-up lever.
4. Use built-in needle threader: Lower lever, hook thread through needle eye.
5. Wind bobbin: Place empty bobbin on winder, push to right, press foot controller.
6. Insert bobbin: Drop into case with thread following arrow direction.

Tip: Always pull about 6 inches of thread behind needle before starting to sew.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

1. Unplug machine before cleaning.
2. Remove needle plate: Use screwdriver to access bobbin area.
3. Clean lint: Use brush to remove lint from feed dogs, bobbin case, hook area.
4. Oil machine: Apply sewing machine oil to moving parts as indicated in manual.
5. Replace needle: Change needle after every 8-10 hours of sewing.
