Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Remove machine from packaging: Lift carefully from carrying case.
  2. Attach power cord: Plug into machine and wall outlet.
  3. Install foot pedal: Connect to machine port.
  4. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back.
  5. Attach presser foot: Lower presser foot lever, snap foot into place.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always unplug when not in use.

First-Time Setup

Prepare machine for first use.

  1. Wind bobbin: Place spool on pin, thread through bobbin winder, press pedal.
  2. Insert bobbin: Open cover, drop bobbin in with thread clockwise.
  3. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered guides from spool to needle.
  4. Raise bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you.

Stitch Selection: Turn dial to select pattern (straight, zigzag, stretch, decorative). Stitch Length: 0-4mm (0 for darning, 4 for basting). Stitch Width: 0-5mm (straight stitch=0, zigzag=1-5). Tension: 2-4 for normal sewing, adjust for different fabrics.

Threading the Machine

Proper threading ensures smooth operation.

  1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Place spool on spool pin with thread unwinding counterclockwise.
  3. Follow numbered guides: Right to left, down through tension discs.
  4. Thread take-up lever from right to left.
  5. Follow remaining guides to needle.
  6. Use automatic needle threader: Lower lever, hook thread, return lever.
  7. Pull both threads under presser foot toward back.

Tip: Always thread with presser foot raised to open tension discs.

Basic Sewing Operations

Step-by-step sewing instructions.

  1. Prepare fabric: Place under presser foot, lower needle into fabric.
  2. Lower presser foot: Gently press lever down.
  3. Start sewing: Press foot pedal gradually.
  4. Guide fabric: Keep hands on either side, let machine feed fabric.
  5. Reverse stitching: Press reverse button at beginning and end of seams.
  6. Stop sewing: Release foot pedal, raise needle, raise presser foot.
  7. Remove fabric: Pull threads to back, cut with thread cutter.

WARNING! Never pull fabric while sewing - let feed dogs move fabric.

Care & Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Clean lint: Remove needle plate, brush out lint from bobbin area.
