Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Remove packaging materials and protective covers from machine.
  2. Attach power cord to machine and plug into wall outlet (110-120V AC).
  3. Install foot controller and connect to machine.
  4. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back, tighten screw.
  5. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide thread through bobbin winder tension disc.
  6. Insert bobbin: Place bobbin in bobbin case with thread running counterclockwise.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always turn off power when threading or changing needles.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow setup procedure.

  1. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered threading guide on machine.
  2. Use automatic needle threader: Push lever down and guide thread through needle eye.
  3. Pull up bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn hand wheel toward you to bring up bobbin thread.
  4. Select stitch: Turn stitch selection dial to desired pattern.

  6. Practice on scrap fabric before starting your project.

CAUTION! Always start with needle in highest position. Keep work area clean and well-lit.

WARNING! Never sew over pins. Remove pins before they reach the needle.

Maintenance & Cleaning

  2. Clean lint from bobbin area and feed dogs after each project.
  3. Oil machine as directed in maintenance section (use sewing machine oil only).
