Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place on stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove protective packaging and foam inserts.
  2. Attach foot pedal: Connect to machine port at front right.
  3. Connect power adapter: Plug into machine and wall outlet.
  4. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side facing back.
  5. Wind bobbin: Follow bobbin winding instructions in section 7.
  6. Thread machine: Follow automatic threading guide.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during setup and operation. Ensure machine is unplugged during initial setup.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow initial setup procedure.

  1. Select basic straight stitch: Use stitch selection dial.
  2. Test on scrap fabric: Use medium weight cotton fabric.
  3. Adjust tension: Start with default setting (4), adjust if needed.
  4. Practice speed control: Use foot pedal pressure control.

Threading & Bobbin

Upper Threading:

  1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Place spool on spool pin.
  3. Follow threading path marked on machine.
  4. Use automatic needle threader: Push down lever, hook thread through needle eye.

Bobbin Winding:

  1. Place empty bobbin on winder spindle.
  2. Thread through bobbin winding tension disk.
  3. Push bobbin winder to engage.
  4. Press foot pedal to wind bobbin.
  5. Stop when bobbin is 3/4 full.

WARNING! Always use same thread in bobbin and needle for balanced stitches.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug machine before cleaning. Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Remove lint: Use small brush to clean bobbin area and feed dogs.
  2. Oil machine: Apply 1-2 drops of sewing machine oil to hook race monthly.
  3. Clean exterior: Use soft, dry cloth only.
  4. Needle replacement: Change needle after every 8 hours of sewing.

CAUTION! Never use compressed air; it can force lint deeper into mechanism.
