Installation and Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface at comfortable working height.

  1. Remove machine from packaging: Lift carefully from carrying case.
  2. Position machine: Place on sturdy table with adequate workspace around it.
  3. Connect foot pedal: Plug into machine's pedal port.
  4. Connect power: Plug power cord into machine and wall outlet (120V AC).
  5. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back, tighten screw.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Unplug when not in use.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow threading diagram.

  1. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide through bobbin winder tension, press pedal to wind.
  2. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered threading path from spool to needle.
  3. Insert bobbin: Place bobbin in bobbin case with thread pulling counterclockwise.
  4. Test stitches: Select straight stitch, place fabric under presser foot, lower foot, press pedal.
  5. Adjust tension: Test on scrap fabric; adjust tension dial if needed.

CAUTION! Always turn handwheel toward you; never force machine operation.

Threading and Bobbin Winding

  2. Upper Threading: Follow numbered path: spool pin → thread guide → tension discs → take-up lever → thread guide → needle.
  3. Needle Threading: Pass thread through needle eye from front to back.
  4. Bobbin Insertion: Remove bobbin case, insert bobbin with thread pulling counterclockwise, replace case.
  5. Bring Up Bobbin Thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you until bobbin thread appears.

WARNING! Ensure presser foot is raised when threading through tension discs.

Maintenance and Cleaning

  1. Daily: Brush out lint from bobbin area and feed dogs.
  2. Weekly: Oil moving parts with sewing machine oil (2-3 drops).
  3. Monthly: Clean tension discs with folded fabric or dental floss.
