Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place machine on stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove machine from packaging and all protective materials.
  2. Attach power cord to machine and plug into grounded electrical outlet.
  3. Install foot pedal and position for comfortable operation.
  4. Install needle following proper orientation (flat side to back).
  5. Wind and install bobbin in top drop-in bobbin case.
  6. Thread upper thread through guides and needle using built-in threader.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always turn off and unplug when not in use.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; test basic functions before sewing projects.

  1. Turn stitch selection dial to straight stitch position.
  2. Set stitch length to medium setting (2.5).
  3. Place scrap fabric under presser foot and lower foot lever.
  4. Gently press foot pedal to begin sewing.
  5. Practice reverse stitching by holding reverse button.
  6. Test different stitch patterns and adjustments.

CAUTION! Always start with scrap fabric to test settings. Keep work area well-lit and organized.

Threading & Bobbin

  1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Place spool on spindle and thread through upper guides.
  3. Use built-in needle threader for easy needle threading.
  4. Wind bobbin with matching thread using bobbin winder.
  5. Insert bobbin in top drop-in case with thread clockwise.
  6. Pull bobbin thread up through throat plate.
  7. Hold both threads under presser foot when starting.

WARNING! Always use same thread weight in bobbin and needle. Clean lint from bobbin area regularly.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Unplug machine before cleaning or maintenance.
  2. Remove needle plate and clean lint from feed dog area.
  3. Clean bobbin case and surrounding area with brush.
  4. Oil moving parts as specified in maintenance schedule.
  5. Check needle for damage and replace regularly.
  6. Cover machine when not in use to prevent dust accumulation.

CAUTION! Use only sewing machine oil. Do not use household oils or lubricants.
