Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Remove packaging materials and protective covers.
  2. Attach power cord to machine and plug into AC outlet.
  3. Install foot pedal and connect to machine.
  4. Attach removable extension table if using free arm feature.
  5. Install needle according to needle installation instructions.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always unplug when not in use.

First-Time Setup

Prepare machine for initial use with proper threading and bobbin installation.

  1. Wind bobbin: Place empty bobbin on winder and thread through tension disc.
  2. Install bobbin: Insert bobbin into case following directional arrows.
  3. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered threading path on machine.
  4. Select basic stitch: Set stitch selector to straight stitch position.
  5. Test sew on scrap fabric to ensure proper operation.

CAUTION! Always use recommended needles and threads for optimal performance.

Main control panel located on front of machine. Stitch selector dial, stitch length dial, stitch width dial, reverse stitch button, power switch.

Stitch Selection: Turn dial to select desired stitch pattern (straight, zigzag, stretch, decorative). Stitch Length: Adjust for shorter or longer stitches. Stitch Width: Adjust zigzag and decorative stitch width. Reverse: Hold button for backward stitching. Tension Control: Adjust thread tension dial for balanced stitches.

Threading the Machine

Proper threading ensures smooth operation and quality stitches.

  1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Place spool on spool pin and secure with cap.
  3. Follow numbered threading path: through tension discs, take-up lever, and finally needle.
  4. Use built-in needle threader for easy needle threading.
  5. Pull thread under presser foot toward back of machine.

Tip: Always thread machine with presser foot raised to open tension discs.

Basic Sewing Operations

Fundamental sewing techniques for everyday projects.

  1. Position fabric under presser foot, lower presser foot lever.
  2. Depress foot pedal gently to start sewing.
  3. Guide fabric gently without pulling or pushing.
  4. Use reverse stitch at beginning and end of seams.
  5. Raise needle to highest position before removing fabric.
  6. Use built-in thread cutter to trim threads.

WARNING! Never sew over pins; remove them as you approach.
