Unpacking and Setup

Carefully unpack and inspect all components. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Remove machine from packaging: Lift machine by base, not by handwheel.
  2. Attach power cord: Plug into machine and wall outlet (110-120V).
  3. Install foot pedal: Connect to machine port and place on floor.
  4. Attach extension table: Snap into place for flatbed sewing.

First-Time Operation

Stitch Selection and Adjustment

  3. Stretch stitches: Positions 6-8 for knit fabrics

Threading and Bobbin Winding

Proper threading ensures smooth operation.

  1. Upper threading: Raise presser foot, follow numbered guide from spool to needle.
  2. Needle threading: Push needle threader lever down and hook thread through.
  3. Bobbin winding: Place spool on pin, thread through guide, wind until full.
  4. Bobbin insertion: Drop bobbin in case with thread pulling counterclockwise.
  5. Bring up bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you.

WARNING! Always raise needle to highest position before threading.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Daily: Brush out lint from bobbin area and feed dogs.
  2. Weekly: Oil hook race and moving parts (use sewing machine oil only).
  3. Monthly: Clean tension discs with folded fabric or dental floss.
  4. As needed: Replace needle after 8-10 hours of sewing.
