Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable table or sewing cabinet.

  1. Position machine: Ensure stable surface at comfortable height for sewing.

  3. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back, tighten screw.
  4. Wind bobbin: Place bobbin on winder, thread through tension disc, press winder to engage.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always unplug when not in use.

Threading the Machine

Proper threading is essential for good stitch quality.

  1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Place thread spool on spool pin.
  3. Follow numbered threading path: Through first thread guide, around tension discs, through take-up lever, down to needle.
  4. Thread needle from front to back.
  5. Draw up bobbin thread by turning handwheel toward you.
  6. Pull both threads under presser foot toward back.

Tip: Always thread with presser foot raised to open tension discs.

Basic Sewing Operations

Straight stitching for seams, hems, and construction.

  1. Fabric preparation: Place fabric under presser foot, lower presser foot lever.
  2. Start sewing: Press foot pedal gently to begin, guide fabric with hands.
  3. Reverse stitching: Hold reverse lever at beginning and end of seams.
  4. Adjust speed: Control sewing speed with foot pedal pressure.
  5. Pivoting: Stop with needle down in fabric, raise presser foot, turn fabric.
  6. Finishing: Raise needle, raise presser foot, pull fabric to back, cut threads.
  7. Free arm: Remove accessory compartment for sewing sleeves and cuffs.

WARNING! Never pull fabric through machine - let feed dogs move it naturally.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Daily: Brush out lint from bobbin area and feed dogs.
  2. Weekly: Oil moving parts with sewing machine oil (2-3 drops).
  3. Monthly: Clean tension discs with soft brush or thread floss.
  4. Needle replacement: Change needle after every 8 hours of sewing.
  5. Bobbin case: Remove and clean periodically.

CAUTION! Use only sewing machine oil. Unplug before cleaning and maintenance.
