Unpacking and Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on stable surface at comfortable working height.

  1. Remove machine from packaging: Lift machine by base, not by handwheel.
  2. Attach foot controller: Plug into machine and position on floor.
  3. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back.
  4. Connect power: Plug power cord into machine and wall outlet.
  5. Install accessories: Store in accessory compartment.

WARNING! Machine is heavy; lift with care using both hands. Ensure stable surface placement.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow setup procedures.

  1. Thread machine: Follow numbered threading guide on machine.
  2. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide through tension disc.
  3. Insert bobbin: Drop bobbin into case with thread counterclockwise.
  4. Select stitch: Turn stitch selection dial to desired pattern.

CAUTION! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always turn off when not in use.

Threading and Bobbin

Proper threading is essential for good stitch quality.

  1. Raise needle to highest position using handwheel.
  2. Place spool on spool pin, secure with cap if needed.
  3. Follow numbered threading path: Through tension discs, up take-up lever.
  4. Use automatic needle threader: Push lever down, hook thread, release.
  5. Wind bobbin: Place empty bobbin on winder, guide thread, push to engage.
  6. Insert bobbin: Drop into case with thread coming counterclockwise.
  7. Pull up bobbin thread: Hold needle thread, turn handwheel once.

Tip: Always use same thread type in needle and bobbin for best results.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Unplug machine before cleaning or maintenance.
  2. Remove needle plate: Use screwdriver to access bobbin area.
  3. Clean lint: Use small brush to remove lint from feed dogs and bobbin area.
  4. Oil machine: Apply 1-2 drops of sewing machine oil to moving parts as indicated in manual.
  5. Replace needle: Change needle after every 8 hours of sewing or for new project.
  6. Cover machine: Use dust cover when not in use.

CAUTION! Never use compressed air; it can force lint deeper into mechanism.
