Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Attach extension table: Slide into position until it clicks securely.
  2. Connect foot pedal: Plug into designated port on machine.

  4. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side facing back.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always unplug when not in use.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow step-by-step setup procedure.

  1. Thread upper thread: Follow threading path indicated on machine.
  2. Insert bobbin: Place bobbin in case with thread unwinding counterclockwise.
  3. Select basic stitch: Turn dial to straight stitch position.
  4. Test on scrap fabric: Practice stitching on fabric scraps before actual projects.
  5. Adjust tension: Start with medium tension (4) and adjust as needed.

CAUTION! Always start with needle in highest position. Keep work area clean and organized.

Primary Controls: Power switch, Stitch selection dial, Stitch length dial, Stitch width dial, Reverse stitch button, Thread tension dial.

Stitch Selection: Straight stitch (1-4), Zigzag (5-8), Stretch stitches (9-12), Decorative stitches (13-20). Tension Control: Adjust from 0-9 (4 recommended for medium weight fabrics). Speed Control: Foot pedal controls sewing speed; practice with slow settings first. Needle Position: Manual control for precise needle placement.

Threading Instructions

Proper threading is essential for optimal performance.

  1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Place spool on spool pin with thread unwinding counterclockwise.
  3. Follow numbered threading path: Through first thread guide, around tension discs, through take-up lever, down to needle.
  4. Use built-in needle threader: Push lever down, hook thread through eye, release lever.
  5. Pull thread under presser foot toward back of machine.

Tip: Always thread with presser foot raised to open tension discs.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures long machine life and optimal performance.

  1. Daily: Brush out lint from bobbin area and feed dogs.
  2. Weekly: Oil moving parts with sewing machine oil (2-3 drops).
  3. Monthly: Clean tension discs with folded fabric strip.
  4. As needed: Replace needle after 8-10 hours of sewing.
  5. Storage: Cover machine when not in use to prevent dust accumulation.

WARNING! Unplug machine before cleaning or maintenance. Use only sewing machine oil.
